My November featured new glasses, SNL: The Experience, Fun Home at Victory Gardens, Meteor Shower at the Booth Theatre, and alpacas.
My friend, Sean introduced me to the weirdness that is Poppy.
My friend, Kelly has been obsessed/friends with Luna for as long as I’ve known her and I finally saw them perform live on November 18, 2017 at Brooklyn Steel. Britta Phillips plays bass in Luna. She’s had a long career as a musician and was the voice of Jem in the Jem (1985–1988) animated series.
I recently re-watched Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) which was partially inspired by Dave Van Ronk.
I just learned (or maybe re-learned) that “Come as You Are” by Nirvana sometimes gets compared to “Eighties” by Killing Joke.
Mooph’s 8-Bit version of “QB Blitz” is a Weezer cover.
“Eat the Night” is featured prominently in Columbus (2017).
